This 34,000 square foot mixed-use building, located beneath the Getty Museum and against the 405 freeway, was purchased by one of BOTO’s repeat clients in 2016. Originally developed as the Bel Air Market, the building has gone through many iterations - including serving as offices for DreamWorks, EA Arts, and Mark Burnett Productions. BOTO was quickly asked to reposition it for a creative office, keeping a limited budget in mind. Every exterior surface was touched in this renovation which included new large steel shade structures in the common courtyards, new outdoor kitchen & BBQ, new custom outdoor fountains, new dog run area, basketball court, and two 30’ high green-wall cages that enclose the exterior stairs. Classic teak outdoor furniture and new landscaping make the outdoor areas warm and appealing. New ipe wood and metal privacy fencing completely update the building’s facade and vastly improve its street presence.
